Aargauische Kantonalbank launches innovative customer portal based on the ti&m channel suite

Aargauische Kantonalbank designed an innovative customer portal in line with its digitalization strategy based on the ti&m channel suite. Since August 2017, the portal has been available not just to AKB customers, but also to anyone interested in the bank. The project was completed by ti&m in only nine months.

New technologies now provide Internet access anywhere, anytime. Growing numbers of bank customers also feel the need to communicate with their bank via digital channels. Bank customers want to decide for themselves which interactions to have in person and which online. Banks are therefore increasingly having to offer digital services in order to remain customer friendly.

The customer in focus
Aargauische Kantonalbank (AKB) relies on a forward-looking solution based on the ti&m channel suite to better meet the needs of its customers. It was important to the bank to implement a customer-oriented solution. The focus was always on simplifying interactions with the bank and enhancing the quality of customer advice. The primary objective was to meet the customers’ needs – the technology was only a means to this end.

Completed in only nine months
Over the last two-and-a-half years, ti&m has provided Aargauische Kantonalbank with ongoing support, from the development of its digitalization strategy to the launch of the new website with the customer portal. The customer portal was designed and implemented in the past few months based on the digitalization strategy. ti&m worked together with the bank over the course of about three months to develop a new design for the website and a concept for the customer portal. These were then completed within nine months.

Monitoring finances at a glance
The portal is available to bank customers and others visitors, and enables users to communicate and exchange documents with an advisor via email and chat. Customers can also use an Avaloq interface to gain an overview of their products and mandates. In addition, an integrated personal financial management tool allows customers to monitor all deposits and outgoings.

Aargauische Kantonalbank’s new website and the customer portal Meine AKB went live on August 13, 2017. The next step is to expand the portal with new functions. Aargauische Kantonalbank’s online mortgage is set to launch in spring 2018.
